We wanted our own kids to be able to play.
BuildKins started with a simple problem: the big blocky-world games our kids wanted to play came with open chat, DMs, and a stranger around every corner. The safety settings helped, but they were settings — one update or one workaround away from not helping.
So we built the game world we actually wanted for them. Same kind of games — build, race, explore with friends — with the risky parts removed at the foundation instead of filtered after the fact. No chat to moderate, because there's no chat. No stranger names, because names are ours to hand out. No engagement machinery, because we don't measure the thing it optimizes.
It's early, it's invite-only, and it's built carefully. That's on purpose.
